A Ukrainian refugee derailed a live TV interview by asking a news reporter if cannabis was legal in Britain yet – as he was boarding a bus to get to safety.
The Sky News segment was filmed as refugees boarded a bus near Kyiv, and the reporter clearly fears for her safety as she wears a helmet and body armour.
But the man she speaks to seems a lot more relaxed, wearing a black baseball cap and with headphones around his neck, then he catches her gaze and asks a question.
While she’s live on air, the man asks her a question and she can’t hear him, so he repeats into her microphone: “Is cannabis legal in Great Britain?”
And he said: “I smoke weed, legalise, 420. American?”
The reporter then clarified that she was British, before asking “how many more…”, but she is interrupted by the man.
He then says: “Is cannabis legalised in Great Britain?”
After the man asks the question, the reporter laughs and says she doesn’t know if cannabis is ‘licensed’ in the UK, before adding “I’m glad that’s all you’re thinking about” and swiftly moving on.
