Until today (end of May 2021), production has amounted to 185 Mboepd, which is above the median value of the original production forecast. This good result has been achieved thanks to excellent production efficiency on all producing assets, a plateau production level for Johan Sverdrup’s first phase which increased earlier than expected to 535 thousand barrels of oil per day (Mbopd), gross, and increased plant capacity on the Edvard Grieg field. The increased construction capacity at Edvard Grieg is due to the Ivar Aasen field not utilizing its full contractual share, and this is expected to continue throughout the year.
